Easter Egg Pull          Easter Egg Pull

Beavers and Cubs from across the County gathered to help raise money for the Sport Relief charity appeal today. Over fifty youngsters participated in the Great Big Easter Egg Pull at the campsite.

Colonies and Packs had to wear their Sport Relief Socks to show their support for the appeal which raised £19m for charities in the UK and abroad following Friday night's telethon.

County Commissioner, Neil Leatherland and Assistant County Commissioner, John Metcalfe helped the teams pull the giant egg which was filled with chocolate eggs.

The good weather ensured plenty of fun which followed with a campfire, cooking marshmallows and eating cream eggs.

Celebrities

Former England footballer Alan Shearer and television presenter Adrian Chiles cycled 335 miles from Newcastle to London.

Rower James Cracknell travelled from the UK to Africa "under his own steam" - completing the journey by swimming from Gibraltar to Morocco.
