Evergreen is an environment project for young people. It has a programme of fun activities for all age ranges and aims to raise awareness and encourage young people to act and gain Scouting awards along the way.

What does it involve? 

There are five aspects to the project:

• Attend one of the free environment induction/training sessions at Blackhills.
• Run an evening in your Group or Unit based on discovering the environment.
• Set up a recycling point at your Scout Headquarters.
• Complete the Evergreen Challenge.
• Complete or participate in one of the campsite's environment projects.

You’ll also get the opportunity to come along to Blackhills at the free environment open day and take your first footsteps along the newly designed environment trail. Why not have a go at our Wildlife Photo Competition at the same time!

Complete the Evergreen Programme and gain your Environment Award, Evergreen badge and certificate.
