Blackhills Scout Campsite is run by the two Scout Districts of Bradford (North & South). Visitors to the site will enjoy the countryside location set in some 40 acres of unspoilt rural woodland. We are able to offer the complete range of accommodation, from the most basic backwoods camps to our centrally heated centres.

Open to Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts, to be held 10.30 a.m. SUNDAY MARCH 28th 2010, please pre-register with our Booking Secretary Jacqueline on 0845 094 8894 ( Free to full paying BT landlines ). This year will follow similar format to last, on arrival after 10.00 but before 10.30, please register with our event control, you’ll need a team name, so decide on this before the day. Eggs will be hidden for you to find as individuals around a set area of the site and then an obstacle course for tea....

Work started recently on the newly acquired Warden / Junior Crew Building, the plans were approved by Bradford Council on 5th January 2010, this fabulous opportunity, thanks to extensive plans by our ‘ in house architect ‘ Gary Sorsby, ex D.C. and great supporter of Scouting and Blackhills, will give us a replacement permanent facility for wardens and families with extensive lounge, walk-in kitchen, two bedrooms sleeping 2 & 2 and a full sized bathroom. Work started on Thursday February 18th on a replacement toilet block, situated to front of the existing block in the centre of the woodland campsites. Designed to complement the main toilet block (situated near the buildings) This block will be completed by Easter and will include hot and cold running water, 3 male and 3 female W.C.’s with sufficient washbasins, the design allows for male and female single W.C. with washbasin to be available when the site has lesser usage.
