Designed to complement the main toilet block (situated near the buildings) This block will be completed by Easter and will include hot and cold running water, 3 male and 3 female W.C.’s with sufficient washbasins, the design allows for male and female single W.C. with washbasin to be available when the site has lesser usage. Our buildings also give comfortable seating, professional standard catering kitchen and a nice warm atmosphere.

The gates opened (officially ) at 6.00 p.m. but a few folk did come earlier.

Huddersfield, 2 classrooms, free, from Burniston Primary School in Bedale, North Yorkshire.

During early July, we organised ground works courtesy of R.Buntons at an extremely beneficial price and removal and re-erection by Messrs S.J. Stanberry, again at a beneficial price, however this does mean that these costs alone amount to £11,800.00

A total of 101 scouts attended camp, supported by 34 leaders. The camp offers scouts the opportunity to both learn and practice skills seldom available on troop nights.

These activities included: Shelter building, Coconut mugs, Rabbit, Wood pigeon, Maggots, Fish, Navigation, Flint & steel, Squirrel, Eyeballs, Cheese making, Fire lighting, Water purification, Edible plants and Craft activities.

75 Beavers and Cubs from around the County registered to take part, they were welcomed onto the campsite by Giant Cut out penguins showing the way.

Once we had the registrations the Egg hunt got under way, the Beavers and Cubs searched the site looking for a plastic egg, which they could then later exchange for a chocolate egg, in addition five lucky Beavers or Cubs found a golden bunny.

Once again, it was a "FREE" Event as we continue to offer BOGOF at the campsite, which will continue into next year 2009 with Camping on offer at pay for one night and get next night FREE.

The Firework Bonanza and Bonfire attracted many Scouts and their families from all over the County. Over 350 people attended to watch the sky fill out with "Big Bangs" and Explosions of Spectacular Fireworks.
